Máthé Ferenc címzetes esperes, nyugalmazott plébános 2018. május 21-én, életének 80., papságának 56. évében, szentségekkel megerősítve hunyt el Székelyudvarhelyen.

Korondon született 1938. október 16-án, Gyulafehérváron szentelte pappá Márton Áron püspök 1963-ban. Lelkipásztorként Gyergyóremetén (1963–67) mint segédlelkész; Pálpatakán (1967–86), Berecken (1986–2012) plébánosként szolgált. Nyugdíjas éveiben a székelyudvarhelyi Pastor Bonus Papi Otthon lakója volt.

Temetése 2018. május 23-án, szerdán délelőtt 11 órától lesz korondi templomból kalondai temetőbe. Május 22-én délután 6 órától a korondi templomban engesztelő szentmisét mutatnak be a lelke üdvéért, utána virrasztás lesz.

Dear brothers and sisters, the path before us is clear, though it is not easy. We are called to allow our hearts to be renewed, so that we might seek peace and care for creation. Scripture tells us to guard our hearts, for everything we do flows from them (cf. Prov 4:23).
