Veress László címzetes esperes, nyugalmazott plébános 2017. március 3-án, életének 91., papságának 61. évében, szentségekkel megerősítve hunyt el Székelyudvarhelyen.

Csatószegen született 1926. május 14-én, Gyulafehérváron szentelték pappá 1956-ban. Lelkipásztorként Gyergyóditróban (1956–57) és a kolozsvár-belvárosi plébánián (1957–77) mint segédlelkész; Kisbácsban (1977–99) plébánosként szolgált. Nyugdíjas évei nagy részét Kolozsváron töltötte, életének utolsó időszakában a székelyudvarhelyi Pastor Bonus Papi Otthon lakója volt.

Temetése 2017. március 6-án, hétfőn délelőtt 11 órától lesz a csatószegi templomból a lelke üdvéért bemutatott engesztelő szentmise után.

For this 112th World Day, the theme, “Even just one of these children,” draws our attention to the minors directly involved in the experience of migration and flight, to the care owed to them, and to the Lord’s promise that “whoever receives one such child in my name receives me” (Mk 9:37).

Dear brothers and sisters, the path before us is clear, though it is not easy. We are called to allow our hearts to be renewed, so that we might seek peace and care for creation. Scripture tells us to guard our hearts, for everything we do flows from them (cf. Prov 4:23).
