A kincses város Monostor lakónegyedének plébánosa 2017. október 28-án este hunyt el hirtelen Szászfenesen, közvetlenül a búcsús szentmise után.

Kádár István c. esperes 1953. július 25-én született a Maros megyei Búzásbesenyőn. Pappá 1978. június 18-án szentelték Gyulafehérváron, első szolgálati helye segédlelkészként Kézdivásárhely volt (1978–1979), ahonnan Brassóba került káplánnak (1979–1984). Ezt követően első plébánosi helye Csicsókeresztúr volt (1984–85), ahonnan püspöke Kolozsvárra, a Monostor negyedi plébániára helyezte, ahol haláláig szolgált.

Nevéhez és személyes elköteleződéséhez, harcaihoz fűződik a kolozsmonostori apátsági templom visszaszerzése az 1990 utáni időszakban. Önként vállalta a tordatúri katolikusok lelkipásztori szolgálatát, ahol minden vasár- és ünnepnapon szentmisét celebrált. Építő ember volt, a szó közösségi értelmében is.

Kádár István plébánostól egyházközsége a Kolozsvár hívei október 31-én, du. 5 órai kezdettel búcsúznak a kolozsmonostori apátsági templomban. Földi maradványait másnap, november 1-jén délben indítják, rövid tordatúri megállóval a szülőfalu, Búzásbesenyő felé, ahol a templomban ravatalozzák fel. Temetési szertartása november 2-án, halottak napján de. 11 órakor kezdődik.

For World Mission Day 2026, which marks the centenary of a celebration established by Pius XI that is very dear to the Church, I have chosen the theme “One in Christ, united in mission.” Following the Jubilee Year, I wish to encourage the whole Church to continue its missionary journey with joy and zeal in the Holy Spirit.

Each year the World Day of Migrants and Refugees invites us to turn our attention to different aspects of the complex phenomenon of migration. For this 112th World Day, the theme, “Even just one of these children,” draws our attention to the minors directly involved in the experience of migration and flight, to the care owed to them, and to the Lord’s promise that “whoever receives one such child in my name receives me” (Mk 9:37).

Dear brothers and sisters, the path before us is clear, though it is not easy. We are called to allow our hearts to be renewed, so that we might seek peace and care for creation. Scripture tells us to guard our hearts, for everything we do flows from them (cf. Prov 4:23).
