December 17., péntek: Mt 1,1-17: Jézus Krisztus nemzetségtáblája

Az angyali üdvözletkor mondta a Boldogságos Szűz Mária élete lényegét összefoglaló szavait: „Íme az Úr szolgáló leánya, legyen nekem a te igéd szerint!” Ekkor foganta a Szentlélek erejéből az Isten Fiát és saját Fiát. Istenszülő Anya lett és örökké szűz maradt. Ezért az Úr Jézusnak a Máté evangéliuma elején közölt nemzetségtáblája a Szent Józsefé. Ő az Úr Jézus nevelőapja, a családapa. Az Úr Jézus Szent Józseftől örököli a Dávid fia messiási címet és a test szerinti királyi leszármazást. Az evangélista kiemeli, hogy a nemzetségtáblának 3x14 tagja van, mert a Dávid személynév héber betűinek számértéke 14. Az Úr Jézus dávidi származása háromszorosan igaz! Az Úr Jézus test szerinti születése igazolja, hogy a megtestesülés valóság, az Úr Jézus igaz Isten és igaz ember, a megváltás szent hitünk alapvető hittétele.

For this 112th World Day, the theme, “Even just one of these children,” draws our attention to the minors directly involved in the experience of migration and flight, to the care owed to them, and to the Lord’s promise that “whoever receives one such child in my name receives me” (Mk 9:37).

Dear brothers and sisters, the path before us is clear, though it is not easy. We are called to allow our hearts to be renewed, so that we might seek peace and care for creation. Scripture tells us to guard our hearts, for everything we do flows from them (cf. Prov 4:23).
