2026. szeptember 29-én, kedden, Szent Mihály főangyal ünnepén, főegyházmegyénk és székesegyházunk védőszentjének napján ünnepeljük székesegyházunk búcsúját. A délelőtt 11 órakor kezdődő ünnepi szentmisére szeretettel hívom és várom Paptestvéreimet és híveimet.

E jeles nap egyben Tiszteletreméltó Márton Áron püspökünk halálának 46. évfordulója is. Ebből az alkalomból főegyházmegyei zarándoklatot tartunk, amelynek során együtt emlékezünk püspökünk életére és tanúságtételére, és közösen kérjük Isten kegyelmét boldoggá és szentté avatásához. 

Hagyományainkhoz híven az ünnephez kapcsolódik Papnevelő Intézetünk tanévnyitója is, amelyet ünnepélyes Veni Sancte keretében tartunk. Imádkozzunk kispapjainkért, nevelőikért és tanáraikért, valamint papi hivatásokért, hogy az Úr bőséges kegyelmével kísérje mindazokat, akik életüket az Ő szolgálatára készülnek szentelni

Dear brothers and sisters, the path before us is clear, though it is not easy. We are called to allow our hearts to be renewed, so that we might seek peace and care for creation. Scripture tells us to guard our hearts, for everything we do flows from them (cf. Prov 4:23).
