A Guadalupei Szűzanya (1531. december 9-i jelenés) mexikói szentélye a világ legnagyobb zarándok létszámú Mária-kegyhelye. A Szűzanya – az Egyház által elismert hiteles – jelenései alkalmával nem mond újat, csak azt ismétli, amit a kánai menyegzőn mondott a konyhán a szolgáknak: „Tegyétek, amit fiam mond!” (vö. Jn 2,5) Az Úr Jézus szerint Illés próféta küldetését – jelzi a Messiást – teljesíteni fogja világvégi eljövetelekor, de első eljövetele előtt is teljesítette Keresztelő Szent János küldetésében. Legyünk mi is embertestvéreink számára a Messiás előfutára, készítsük elő őket a kis Jézus fogadására, és kövessük, amit a Szűzanya kér: „Tegyétek, amit fiam mond!”,  amit Titokzatos Testében, az Egyházban ma is hirdet nekünk!

Each year the World Day of Migrants and Refugees invites us to turn our attention to different aspects of the complex phenomenon of migration. For this 112th World Day, the theme, “Even just one of these children,” draws our attention to the minors directly involved in the experience of migration and flight, to the care owed to them, and to the Lord’s promise that “whoever receives one such child in my name receives me” (Mk 9:37).

Message of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV for the 11th World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation 2026

Dear brothers and sisters, the path before us is clear, though it is not easy. We are called to allow our hearts to be renewed, so that we might seek peace and care for creation. Scripture tells us to guard our hearts, for everything we do flows from them (cf. Prov 4:23).
