Jakubinyi György érsek vezetésével ünneplik szeptember 20-án a tordatúri római katolikus templom búcsúját, amely a vissza-, de az előretekintés ünnepe is lesz. A templom titulusa: Szent Kereszt felmagasztalása.

Kádár István Kolozsvár-monostori, Tordatúrra is beszolgáló plébános vezetésével új hittanterem épült a plébánián, de felállítottak három kültéri, nagyméretű keresztet is, amelyeket szintén megáld a falu búcsúját vezető főpásztor.

Az ünnepre hazahozták Gyulafehérvárról a tordatúri Madonnaként ismert szobrot, az Erdélyben található Mária-ábrázolások egyik legrégebbi, XIV. századból származó szép alkotását, amelyet néhány éve az érseki székesegyházban helyeztek el. Az értékes műkincs őrzését a hétfői visszaszállításig a tordatúri polgármestei hivatal biztosítja.

A búcsú háromnegyed 1-kor kezdődik a hittanterem és a keresztek megáldásával, amit az érseki szentmise követ a tordatúri templomban.

Dear brothers and sisters, the path before us is clear, though it is not easy. We are called to allow our hearts to be renewed, so that we might seek peace and care for creation. Scripture tells us to guard our hearts, for everything we do flows from them (cf. Prov 4:23).
