Nt. Kovács Gábor címzetes esperes-plébános február 14-én este  visszaadta lelkét Teremtőjének. Farkaslakán született 1944. augusztus 7-én. Elemi iskolába Farkaslakán járt, középiskolai tanulmányait a gyulafehérvári Kántoriskolában végezte, a teológiát pedig ugyancsak Gyulafehérváron. Márton Áron püspök szentelte pappá Gyulafehérváron 1968. április 21-én. Csíkszeredában szolgált 1969-től, 1971-től Brassó-Bolonyában, 1972-től Gelencén, 1973-től Uzonban, majd 1975-től Kovásznán.     

Február 16-án, kedden délelőtt 11-kor engesztelő szentmiseáldozatot ajánlanak fel lelki üdvéért a kovásznai templomban. Temetése szerdán du. 1 órakor lesz a farkaslaki templomból.

„Ahova tettek, ott szolgáltam, soha nem kerestem a helyet, így szeretném továbbra is” – írta gyulafehérvári adatlapjára személyes megjegyzésként 2004. április 27-én. Legyen óhaja szerint, Isten adjon neki nyugodalmat, az örök világosság fényeskedjék neki!

For this 112th World Day, the theme, “Even just one of these children,” draws our attention to the minors directly involved in the experience of migration and flight, to the care owed to them, and to the Lord’s promise that “whoever receives one such child in my name receives me” (Mk 9:37).

Dear brothers and sisters, the path before us is clear, though it is not easy. We are called to allow our hearts to be renewed, so that we might seek peace and care for creation. Scripture tells us to guard our hearts, for everything we do flows from them (cf. Prov 4:23).
