Idén harmadik alkalommal került megrendezésre a Pongrácz Szent István Vetélkedő, melynek témája Tiszteletreméltó Márton Áron püspök és jelmondata volt: „Erőnk a lelkesedés. És ez mindenható.”

A vetélkedőre 2026. május 8-10. között került sor Gyulafehérváron, amelyre 24 háromfős csapat gyűlt össze felkészítőtanáraikkal együtt.

A verseny több célból választotta idei témájának Márton Áron püspök életét és munkásságát. Születésének 130. évfordulója alkalmából a Gyulafehérvári Főegyházmegye „Márton Áron 130” emlékévet hirdetett meg, majd rövidesen a Képviselőház is elfogadta a 2026-os évet Márton Áron püspök évének nyilvánító törvénytervezetet. Mindezekhez csatlakozva, a verseny szervezői is törekedtek a fiatalsághoz még közelebb hozni a sziklaszilárd hitű és az evangéliumi értékekhez mindvégig hűséges püspök életét és munkásságát. Nem véletlen, hogy az egykori főpásztor székhelyén, Gyulafehérváron mérhették össze tudásukat a diákok, hiszen a hétvége folyamán az épületek falai nemcsak a fiatalok felcsendülő hangját visszhangozták vissza, hanem némán hirdették az egykor magukba szívott tisztalelkű püspök tetteit, szavait is.
