Csíkmenaság

Szeplőtelen fogantatás, plébánia
On duty
Cantor: Csíszer Árpád

1567-ben a regestrum 67 kapuval jegyezte Menaság néven. A 2008-as régészeti ásatások igazolják, hogy temploma az előbbi feljegyzésnél is régebbi, valamint hogy mai formája négyrendbeli toldás eredménye. Ezt a napjainkban történő restaurálás ki is mutatja. A templomban románkori elemek, részek találhatók: rózsaablak, sekrestye. A templom a 15. században épült gótikus stílusban. Ebből a korból valók a bordák közötti falfestmények, a fali szentségfülke. 1543-ból való szárnyasoltárát a Magyar Nemzeti Múzeumban őrzik. A 2008-as feltárások nemcsak a szentélyben, de a hajóban is sok freskót hoztak felszínre. A templom oldalcsarnokát, az ún. újfalvi részt 1858-ban toldották a régi templom mellé. Az 1542-ből való műemlék harang elrepedt, a templom udvarán lesz kiállítva, helyébe 2008 tavaszán Székelyudvarhelyen újat öntöttek. A 16. században készült Mária-szobor a csíksomlyói faragóiskola alkotása. Az Adorján kúria, a lófő székely udvarháza, a népi építkezés szép tárgyi emléke. A sebesült katona szobra Szervátiusz Jenő alkotása, a templomkert déli bejáratánál áll és az első világháború hőseinek névsorát őrzi. Menaságújfalu kápolnája 1800-ban épült.

Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Date: április 21.

For World Mission Day 2026, which marks the centenary of a celebration established by Pius XI that is very dear to the Church, I have chosen the theme “One in Christ, united in mission.” Following the Jubilee Year, I wish to encourage the whole Church to continue its missionary journey with joy and zeal in the Holy Spirit.

Each year the World Day of Migrants and Refugees invites us to turn our attention to different aspects of the complex phenomenon of migration. For this 112th World Day, the theme, “Even just one of these children,” draws our attention to the minors directly involved in the experience of migration and flight, to the care owed to them, and to the Lord’s promise that “whoever receives one such child in my name receives me” (Mk 9:37).

Dear brothers and sisters, the path before us is clear, though it is not easy. We are called to allow our hearts to be renewed, so that we might seek peace and care for creation. Scripture tells us to guard our hearts, for everything we do flows from them (cf. Prov 4:23).
