A gyulafehérvári főegyházmegye új főpásztorának, mons. Kovács Gergelynek a püspökké szentelése és az érseki hivatalba való beiktatása február 22-én, Szent Péter apostol székfoglalásának ünnepén lesz 11 órától a gyulafehérvári székesegyházban.

A főegyházmegyei hivatal a későbbiekben közöl új tudnivalókat az ünnepségről. Erre a felemelő és ritkán adódó ünnepségre szeretettel várják a híveket és a papokat egyaránt!

December 24-én délután 1 órakor tette közzé a vatikáni sajtóiroda a Gyulafehérvári Római Katolikus Érsekség új elöljárójának nevét. Napra pontosan 81 évvel boldogemlékű Márton Áron püspöki kinevezésének évfordulója után, szenttéavatási ügyének posztulátora személyében Kovács Gergely lett a gyulafehérvári főegyházmegye új püspöke. Azon a napon Ferenc pápa elfogadta Jakubinyi György érsek és Tamás József segédpüspök kánoni korhatár miatt benyújtott lemondását is.

For this 112th World Day, the theme, “Even just one of these children,” draws our attention to the minors directly involved in the experience of migration and flight, to the care owed to them, and to the Lord’s promise that “whoever receives one such child in my name receives me” (Mk 9:37).

Dear brothers and sisters, the path before us is clear, though it is not easy. We are called to allow our hearts to be renewed, so that we might seek peace and care for creation. Scripture tells us to guard our hearts, for everything we do flows from them (cf. Prov 4:23).
