December 25. Karácsony
Karácsony ünnepe nem csak az elmúlt évezredek itt maradt szimbóluma, nem csak emlékezés arra az örömre, amivel az első karácsonyt ünnepelték. Mindez nem magyarázná meg az Egyház repeső örömének őszinteségét. Igaz karácsony csak abból a hitből fakadhat, hogy itt tényleg valami titokzatos dolog történik. Újra lejátszódik az, ami kétezer évvel ezelőtt végbement, de egész új módon, ünnepeink megszentelő s kegyelemközlő erejében. Minden évben titokzatosan megismétlődik az első karácsony csodája, ha az emberi szívekben megszületik az isteni gyermek mosolya.
Ha akarjuk, bennünk is megszületik, lelkünk mélyét a karácsonyi Krisztus mosolya üdíti fel, s ez a mosoly ragyogja be ennek az ünnepnek a légkörét. Pólyázzuk hát mélyen magunkba, óvjuk, növeljük Krisztus kegyelmét, mosolyát szívünkben. Így lesz szép karácsonyunk!

For this 112th World Day, the theme, “Even just one of these children,” draws our attention to the minors directly involved in the experience of migration and flight, to the care owed to them, and to the Lord’s promise that “whoever receives one such child in my name receives me” (Mk 9:37).

Dear brothers and sisters, the path before us is clear, though it is not easy. We are called to allow our hearts to be renewed, so that we might seek peace and care for creation. Scripture tells us to guard our hearts, for everything we do flows from them (cf. Prov 4:23).
