Ferenc pápa a mai napon Kuba eddigi nunciusát nevezte ki Románia és a Moldovai Köztársaság apostoli nunciusává.

Mons. Giampiero Gloder 1958. május 15-én született az olaszországi Asiago-ban. Filozófiai és teológiai tanulmányait Pádovában végezte. 1983. június 4-én szentelték pappá. 1986 és 1992 között a Pápai Gregoriana Egyetemen tanult, ahol teológiai doktorátust szerzett, majd az Aquinói Szent Tamás Pápai Egyetemen szerzett kánonjogi doktorátust 1990-ben. 1988 és 1992 között a Pápai Egyházi Akadémián diplomáciai képzésben részesült.

1992 és 2013 között különböző diplomáciai feladatokat látott el Guatemalában, valamint a Szentszék Államtitkárságán.

2013. szeptember 21-én Ferenc pápa Telde-i címzetes püspökké, valamint a Pápai Egyházi Akadémia elnökévé nevezte ki és ugyanez év október 24-én a Szent Péter bazilikában püspökké szentelte.

2014 és 2019 között a Római Egyház alkamarása, majd 2019. október 11-től a mai napig Kuba apostoli nunciusa.

Főegyházmegyénk papsága és hívei szeretettel köszöntik az új nunciust, kérve életére és szolgálatára a jó Isten áldását.

For this 112th World Day, the theme, “Even just one of these children,” draws our attention to the minors directly involved in the experience of migration and flight, to the care owed to them, and to the Lord’s promise that “whoever receives one such child in my name receives me” (Mk 9:37).

Dear brothers and sisters, the path before us is clear, though it is not easy. We are called to allow our hearts to be renewed, so that we might seek peace and care for creation. Scripture tells us to guard our hearts, for everything we do flows from them (cf. Prov 4:23).
