Márton Áron szobra Csíkszentdomokos központjábanMárton Áron püspökké szentelésének 75. évfordulója alkalmából a csíkszentdomokosi Márton Áron Általános Iskola vetélkedőt szervez Márton Áron püspök, a bátorság és helytállás példája címmel az V-VII. osztályos tanulóknak. A vetélkedőt 2013 decemberének elején hirdették meg a szervezők a csíki, gyergyói, és gyimesvölgyi iskoláknak. A vetélkedőre 19 csapat jelentkezett be és küldte el a pályamunkát.
A vetélkedő döntő szakaszára 2014. február 15-én kerül sor a csíkszentdomokosi iskolában. Az elődöntőn továbbjutott csapatok a vetélkedőben Márton Áron püspökről szerzett ismereteikről, tehetségükről és kreativításukról kell számot adjanak. A nap folyamán sor kerül közös filmnézésre és a Márton Áron múzeum meglátogatására. A legjobbnak bizonyult csapatok  ingyenesen részt vesznek a két napos körúton, amikor a püspök nyomdokain járva ellátogatunk azokra a helyekre, ahol a püspök szolgált (Gyergyószentmiklós, Gyergyóditró, Marosvásárhely, Kolozsvár, Gyulafehérvár).

Each year the World Day of Migrants and Refugees invites us to turn our attention to different aspects of the complex phenomenon of migration. For this 112th World Day, the theme, “Even just one of these children,” draws our attention to the minors directly involved in the experience of migration and flight, to the care owed to them, and to the Lord’s promise that “whoever receives one such child in my name receives me” (Mk 9:37).

Dear brothers and sisters, the path before us is clear, though it is not easy. We are called to allow our hearts to be renewed, so that we might seek peace and care for creation. Scripture tells us to guard our hearts, for everything we do flows from them (cf. Prov 4:23).
