Csíkszentlélek

Szentlélek, plébánia
On duty
Cantor: Gergely Tibor

A plébánia megnevezései: 1333: Saceerdos de Sancto Spiritu, 1567: Zent Lelek, 1576: Szentlelek, 1603: Zent Lelek, 1643: Szent Lelek. 1333-ban a telegdi főesperességhez, 1592-től a csíkszéki főesperességhez, 1744-től pedig az alcsíki főesperességhez tartozik. Fitód a csíkszentléleki római katolikus egyházközség része. Lakossága: 1661-ban 290, 1850-ben 302, 1966-ban 389, 1992-ben 399. Fitód és Szentlélek lakossága: 1661-ben 600, a tatárjárás után felére csökkent, 1694-ben ismét 600, a tatárjárás után lényegesen csökkent, 1719-ben 600, a pestis után fele maradt, 1800-ban a diftéria a gyerekeket megtizedelte. A Fitód tízesiek több alkalommal kértek engedélyt a püspökségtől templomépítésre, de soha nem kapták meg azért, hogy a szentléleki templom és a melléképületek fenntartása ne maradjon csupán a szentlélekiek anyagi megterhelése, amit közösen is nehezen viselnek. Napjainkban a Csíkszeredából való kiköltözés Csíkszentléleken is észlelhető, ami nemcsak vallásában osztja meg a közösséget, hanem nemzetiségében is. Az egyházközség vallási élete jónak minősíthető, hiszen még nyári munkálatok idején is megtelik a templom.

Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Date: április 23.

For World Mission Day 2026, which marks the centenary of a celebration established by Pius XI that is very dear to the Church, I have chosen the theme “One in Christ, united in mission.” Following the Jubilee Year, I wish to encourage the whole Church to continue its missionary journey with joy and zeal in the Holy Spirit.

Each year the World Day of Migrants and Refugees invites us to turn our attention to different aspects of the complex phenomenon of migration. For this 112th World Day, the theme, “Even just one of these children,” draws our attention to the minors directly involved in the experience of migration and flight, to the care owed to them, and to the Lord’s promise that “whoever receives one such child in my name receives me” (Mk 9:37).

Dear brothers and sisters, the path before us is clear, though it is not easy. We are called to allow our hearts to be renewed, so that we might seek peace and care for creation. Scripture tells us to guard our hearts, for everything we do flows from them (cf. Prov 4:23).
