A "Márton Áron Múzeum" és a "Márton Áron Egyesület Csíkszentdomokosért" szervezésében hatodik alkalommal kerül sor konferenciára a nagy püspök szülőfalujában. Az augusztus 26-i megemlékezés délelőtt 10 órakor kezdődik, a Jakubinyi György gyulafehérvári érsek főcelebrálásával bemutatott szentmisével.
A megemlékezés a művelődési ház nagytermében folytatódik, ahol a délelőtt folyamán négy előadásra kerül sor: Seres Attila történész - Márton Áron lengyel tükörben; Benkő Levente történész - Szemelvények a Márton Áron elleni sajtóhadjáratból, 1948–1949; Oláh Sándor társadalomkutató - Az erdélyi magyar egyházak a kommunista hatalom társadalomátalakítási kísérletében, 1949-1952 és Nagy Mihály Zoltán történész - Márton Áron dilemmái a börtönből való szabadulás után.
A büfféebéd után Virt László szociológus előadása következik A két Áron. Párhuzamok (és kereszteződések) Márton Áron és Tamási Áron életében, gondolkodásában címmel, végül Kovács Gergely posztulátor ismerteti Márton Áron püspök szentté avatási ügyének legújabb fejleményeit.
A megemlékezést Zágoni Balázs dokumentumfilmjének megtekintése zárja (A püspök reggelije).

For World Mission Day 2026, which marks the centenary of a celebration established by Pius XI that is very dear to the Church, I have chosen the theme “One in Christ, united in mission.” Following the Jubilee Year, I wish to encourage the whole Church to continue its missionary journey with joy and zeal in the Holy Spirit.

Each year the World Day of Migrants and Refugees invites us to turn our attention to different aspects of the complex phenomenon of migration. For this 112th World Day, the theme, “Even just one of these children,” draws our attention to the minors directly involved in the experience of migration and flight, to the care owed to them, and to the Lord’s promise that “whoever receives one such child in my name receives me” (Mk 9:37).
