The darkness disappears gradually

ADVENT LANTERN (daily meditations)

December 23.

The thoughts of Archbishop Dr. Kovács Gergely

In the morning there is a reddish light on the horizon first. We call it dawn, daybreak. The light does not arrive as a lightning, at once: the darkness disappears gradually, giving more and more space to light. God prepares his arrival: first he sends a messenger, he sends the prophets. John the Baptist is one of them. He shows people the importance of preparation. Let us all prepare in order to be able to endure God’s arrival.
