Când dorințele noastre nu sunt împlinite, când pare că Dumnezeu nu ne ascultă rugăciunile, să ne amintim că Domnul Isus este într-adevăr Mesia cel profețit care a răscumpărat lumea și care va îndeplini toate cererile noastre pentru binele sufletelor noastre, nu așa cum am vrea noi, ci așa cum crede El că este bine pentru noi!

Számunkra az a tanulság, hogy nem elég a keresztségi fogadásokat, ígéreteket megtenni, de azt teljesíteni is kell! Akkor vagyunk igazán keresztények, Krisztus követői. Keresztes Szent János, Nagy Szent Terézzel a kármelita rend reformátora és egyháztanító is ezt tette a rend reformjával: visszatértek az eredeti ígérethez minden enyhítés nélkül.
For us the answer is obvious: the Lord Jesus is true God and true man, the incarnate second divine person, the Son who redeemed the world. This is our faith, and it is for this faith that the martyrs, like Saint Lucia, the virgin of Syracuse, sacrificed their life.
