În viața noastră sunt momente în care descoperim cu uimire conexiuni care ne influențează și ne dirijează viața. În astfel de momente inima ni se umple de recunoștință și bucurie asemeni Hannei din Vechiul Testament, care îl oferă bunului Dumnezeu pe Samuel, deși era încă doar un copilaș. În astfel de momente trăim bucuria inimii asemeni Sfintei Fecioare, care îl preamărește pe Dumnezeu pentru planul său minunat. Viața noastră nu este niciodată jocul întâmplării, ci realizarea iubirii nemărginite a lui Dumnezeu. Am observat asta?

There are moments when we realize all the correlations that affect and control our lives. In such moments our hearts are filled with joy and gratitude, as it happened with Hanna, who handed her very small child, Samuel, to God. In such moments our hearts are filled with happiness, as the heart of the Virgin Mother, who praised God for his wonderful plan. Our life is the fulfillment of God’s great love, it is never just a coincidence. Did I ever realize this?
A vőlegény és a menyasszony egymás iránti szeretetének az intenzitása egyforma. Ilyennek kell lennie az Egyház és Krisztus közötti kapcsolatnak, ugyanakkor a mi Istennel való kapcsolatunknak is. Isten szeretetének erőssége soha nem fogy, mert nem önmagáért van, hanem értünk. Mária Erzsébetnél tett látogatása is erre a mások felé megmutatkozó, lángoló szeretetre hívja fel a figyelmünket: figyeljünk mások szükségére.
Iubirea reciprocă a mirelui și a miresei este la fel ca intensitate. La fel trebuie să fie și legătura dintre Biserică și Cristos, la fel și relația noastră cu Dumnezeu. Puterea iubirii lui Dumnezeu niciodată nu scade deoarece nu e pentru sine ci e pentru noi. Vizita Mariei la Elisabeta arată de asemenea către acea iubire arzândă îndreptată către celălalt: să fim atenți la necesitățile altora.
The bride and the groom love each other with the same intensity. The relationship between the Church and Christ has to be the same. And the same has to be our own relationship with God. The intensity of God’s love never decreases, as it is not for itself but for us. Mary’s visit to Elisabeth shows the strong love that is willing to do something for the loved one. It draws our attention to see the needs of others.

Ultima etapă a pregătirii noastre din advent: a recunoaște planul lui Dumnezeu, a crede în planul lui Dumnezeu. A spune DA la planul lui Dumnezeu chiar și atunci când nu înțelegem ce, din ce cauză se întâmplă. Fie suferință, fie boală sau pierderea celor dragi, Dumnezeu întotdeauna ne poartă de grijă. În duminica a IV-a din advent să descoperim prezența concretă a lui Dumnezeu în viața noastră și să putem răspunde asemeni Sfintei Fecioare cu DA-ul nostru. Dialogul salutului îngeresc e încheiat astfel de Maria: „Iată slujitoarea Domnului, fie mie după cuvântul tău”. După aceasta îngerul a plecat” (Lc 1,38). Prin acel da spus lui Dumnezeu, Sfânta Fecioară a spus da VIEȚII. Un da vieții noastre.
The last stage of our preparations in Advent: recognizing God’s plan, believing in God’s plan, says yes to God’s plan. We have to say yes to God’s plan even when we do not understand what and why is happening. Be it suffering, sickness, the death of our beloved ones, God is always caring for us. On the 4th Sunday of Advent let us discover that God is concretely present in our lives, and just like the Blessed Mother of God, let us answer with a YES. The dialogue with the archangel, during the Annunciation, was ended by Mary thus: “››Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word. ‹‹ And the angel departed from her” (Lk 1:38). By saying yes to the Lord, the Virgin Mother said yes to Life. She said yes to our life.
Advent IV. vasárnapján az adventi koszorú negyedik gyertyáját is meggyújtjuk. Egyre nagyobb a fény, a világosság. Karácsonykor a világosság a világba jön, hogy megvilágítson minden embert. A Boldogságos Szűzanya világosan látja az angyal köszöntésében, mi a fontos: legyen meg az Isten akarata. Nyissuk meg szívünket a világosság befogadására, hogy Istennek tetsző életet éljünk!
„Istennél semmi sem lehetetlen” – mondja az angyal Máriának, amikor hírül adja Jézus születését (Lk 1, 37). Istennek nem volt lehetetlen teljesítenie Mánoah és felesége kérését, gyermekekkel ajándékozta meg őket, belőle Sámson néven a választott nép egyik bírája lett. Istennek nem volt lehetetlen teljesítenie Zakariás pap és felesége, Erzsébet kérését sem, akik már éltesebb korúak voltak. Olyan gyermekkel ajándékozta meg őket, aki Jézus útjait készítette az emberek között Keresztelő Szent János személyében.
Istennek semmi sem lehetetlen velünk kapcsolatban sem. Ezért hívő lélekkel kell mindig hozzá fordulnunk. Karácsony nemcsak a szeretet, de a hit ünnepe is. Engedjük, hogy elmélyítse bennünk ezt a rendíthetetlen, erős hitet.
