One of the challenges of our Advent season is to seek and to do the will of God, where ever we are, according to our condition and situation. We must do this with our whole heart, with great love for God, not only in words but also in deeds. Turning the teaching of Jesus into deeds gives the rock foundation of our lives. It will outlive any storm because it is built on a solid foundation.
Una dintre provocările importante ale timpului nostru de Advent este să căutăm și să facem voia lui Dumnezeu acolo unde ne aflăm, în funcție de starea și situația noastră. Și trebuie să facem acest lucru cu toată inima, cu o mare iubire pentru Dumnezeu, nu doar cu cuvinte, ci și cu fapte. Punerea în practică a învățăturii lui Isus ne oferă fundamentul puternic al vieții noastre, care va rezista oricărei furtuni pentru că are o temelie solidă.
Adventi időnk egyik fontos kihívása: keresni és megtenni Isten akaratát, ott, ahol vagyunk, életállapotunknak, helyzetünknek megfelelően. Ezt pedig teljes szívvel kell tennünk, Isten iránti nagy szeretettel, nem csak szavakkal, de cselekedetekkel is. Tettekre váltani Jézus tanítását adja meg életünk sziklaalapját, mely minden vihart kibír, mert szilárd alapja van.
It is heartbreaking to see a little child crying. The child stops crying when a parent comforts him/her, when someone wipes the tears from his/her eyes. It is comforting for the child to know that s/he is not alone. One of the beautiful consolations of our Advent season is when the prophet Jeremiah assures us that "the Lord wipes away tears from every face". "I pity the people" says Jesus, expressing the tenderness of God who became flesh on that night in Bethlehem and became part of our human life.
Este sfâșietor să vezi un copil mic plângând și cât de consolator este atunci când un părinte sau cineva îi șterge lacrimile din ochi. Este o alinare să știi că nu ești singur. Una dintre frumoasele mângâieri ale timpului de Advent este atunci când profetul Ieremia ne asigură că "Domnul șterge lacrimile de pe orice chip". "Mi-e milă de popor", spune Isus, exprimând tandrețea lui Dumnezeu care s-a făcut trup în noaptea de la Betleem și a devenit parte din viața noastră umană.

St. Andrew and his companions were invited by Jesus. They left their nets and followed Him. He calls us to this soul-saving ministry, to spread the gospel with the faith and devoutness of the apostles. In the midst of our preoccupations, we must be the simple, humble, authentical workers of peace and love. Today he invites us because the harvest is plentiful but the labourers are few.
Sfântul Andrei și însoțitorii săi au fost invitați de Isus. Și ei și-au lăsat mrejele și L-au urmat. El ne cheamă la această misiune de salvare a sufletelor, pentru a propovădui Evanghelia cu credința și zelul apostolilor. Minket is meghív erre a lélekmentő szolgálatra, hogy az apostolok hitével és buzgóságával terjesszük az evangéliumot. Elfoglaltságaink közepette a békesség és szeretet munkálói kell lennünk, egyszerűen, alázattal és hitelesen. Ma is meghív bennünket, mert az aratnivaló sok, de a munkás kevés.
